Trump Campaign: Stand Alone Campaign

 by Eric Dunbar

The Trump Campaign is the only campaign of its kind in the history of U.S. Presidential campaigns. Never before has a Presidential candidate been so openly arrogant and obnoxiously disrespectful. What’s sad about the whole process is that the American people love it. It’s scary to think that Donald Trump could actually be America’s next Commander in Chief.

The Trump Campaign is Baffled

Nobody expected the GOP candidate to be so unscripted. The Republican Party certainly did not expect the Trump Campaign to be so tolerant of his racist rhetoric. Now, one month before the election, the GOP wants him to quit. REALLY! Are these the same Republicans who once worshiped the ground the Donald walks on?

The GOP loved Trump when he was attacking Mexicans, calling them scum and rapists. They put him next to God when he promised to build a wall to keep Mexicans out of the U.S. The GOP shouted for joy when Trump accused all American Muslims of being members of ISIS. His followers loved him when he told them to knock the crap out of people who protested at his rallies, which by the way, is an American right. Worst of all, they really believed he would pay their legal fees — duh! It makes you wonder if the GOP are in love with the Donald, or his blatant racist ideals. One thing is certain, Donald Trump’s reality show style of entertainment could win him an Oscar. Donald Trump is the greatest actor to ever run for President of the U.S.

Trump a Bigot and a Racist… Who Said That?

No one can falsely accuse Donald Trump of being a bigot and a racist. All you have to do is listen to his words; he all but says it himself. Donald Trump constantly belittles women, speaks ill of other ethnicities and is disrespectful of everyone. But the Trump campaign insists that he is neither a bigot nor a racist. They want every American to believe that Trump is on the up and up, and that he is the right candidate to lead America. The Trump campaign knows that Trump is full of himself but they refuse to correct him.

While Trump speaks his heart, he wants us to believe only his words, which are subject to change in his next Twitter tweet. Donald Trump changes his mind as often as he tweets. He has a two-sided opinion to everything he says. Point blank, Trump is a liar. The Trump Campaign thinks the American people don’t know any better. They’re playing us for fools. For a man who has a lot to say, he certainly says a lot of nothing.

Trump on Obama

Trump’s first silent claim as a racist was when he tried to destroy President Obama. Donald Trump fathered the lie that Barack Obama was not born in the United States. In 2011 Trump said, “Why doesn’t he show his birth certificate. There’s something on that birth certificate that he doesn’t like.” Trump took to Twitter in 2012 and declared that “an ‘extremely credible source’ had called his office to inform him that Mr. Obama’s birth certificate was ‘a fraud.’” After five years of grinning, lying, and twisting the facts, Trump finally concedes. He said unapologetically, “President Obama was born in the United States – period”. But Trump still could not let it go. At the first Presidential debate, Trump blamed Hillary Clinton for starting the “birther” movement. But here’s the kicker: The Trump Campaign knew all along that Trump was lying!

Trump on Mexicans and Latinos

The Trump Campaign says that Donald Trump will win the Hispanic vote. The truth is, the Hispanic Community knows that Trump is a payoso. Only about 18 percent of Hispanics take him seriously as a Presidential candidate. If Trump wants to win the Hispanic vote, then why does he say such outlandish things about them?

In a speech announcing his candidacy for President, Donald Trump called Mexicans rapists. He broadened his remarks to insult Latinos as well. He added, “It’s coming from more than Mexico. It’s coming from all over South and Latin America”. Then, Trump offered evidence that Mexicans are rapists. He said, “Well, somebody’s doing the raping. I mean somebody’s doing it! Who’s doing the raping? Who’s doing the raping?”

In August, of 2015 a homeless Hispanic man was attacked in Boston by two brothers. They broke his nose and urinated on him. The brothers told police they attacked him because of his ethnicity. They said, “Donald Trump was right, all these illegals need to be deported.” When Trump was told of the attack, he didn’t renounce the attack. Instead, he said his followers were passionate. Trump later Tweeted, “Never condone violence.” Can you believe that? First, he says “knock the crap out of them” and then he says he tells them to “never condone violence. Clearly, there is something wrong with Trump’s elevator. It goes up when he pushes the “down” button, and down when he pushes the “up” button. He lies, and then he tells a bigger lie to justify the first lie. Truly Amazing!

Trump on Muslims

Initially, Donald trump called for surveillance against mosques in America. He advocated that all Muslim mosques were a threat because they might be connected with ISIS. Then Trump said he wants to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. altogether. “I think that we should definitely disallow any Muslims from coming in. Any of them,” he said. “The reason is simple: we can’t identify what their attitude is.” Trump added that Muslims believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life.” Now Trump says his Muslim ban was only a suggestion. A suggestion? REALLY!

This is the fearful, hate filled racist mindset of the Trump Campaign. It is not the sentiment of every American citizen. There are an estimated 1.9 billion Muslims in the world. There are an estimated 9.9 million Muslims in America. We may never know how many radical extremist Muslims are American citizens, just as we may never know how many American citizens are racists. Despite rhetoric against Islam, more than 5,000 Muslims serve in the U.S. military. Mr. Trump has condemned an entire religion based on the acts of a few radical extremists. Among 9.9 million Muslim Americans, surely there are but a few who are radicalized.

Trump on African-Americans

Donald Trump statements are offensive to African-Americans. Trump’s message to African-Americans is, “Your lives are so miserable, I couldn’t possibly make things worse. You have no health care, no education no anything. What could you possibly have to lose with me?” Trump completely ignores middle-class African-Americans by stereotyping all African-Americans as uneducated, unemployed and miserable. The fact is, the majority of African-Americans have jobs, healthcare and live above the poverty line.

The Trump Campaign promises to bring jobs to the African-American community. But when Donald Trump is asked what he would do for the African-American community, his mind goes blank. Trump says he wants to win black votes, yet all of his appeals to African-Americans have been addressed to white audiences. He must really believe that African-Americans are stupid enough to fall for the “Old McDonld” trick. Well, you’d better think again Donald, because, this time, “we gotcha!” I guess Trump really doesn’t know that the President of the U.S. is an African-American. Maybe he still believes his “birther” lie, Barack Obama was not born in America. I’m just saying.

Trump on Women

Just when you thought it couldn’t get worse for the Trump Campaign, it does. From the onset of Trump’s bid for the Presidency, he has insulted women. At the start of his campaign, Trump insulted his former political opponent, Carly Fiorina. “Look at that face!” said Trump. “Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president? I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not supposed to say bad things, but really folks, come on. Are we serious?”

Among the women Trump has insulted are Heidi Cruz, the wife of Ted Cruz, Rosie O’Donnel, and Khizr Khan, mother of Humayun Khan, who was killed by a car bomb in 2004 in Iraq. When asked about his rudeness to women, Trump says, “A lot of that was done was for the purpose of entertainment. There’s nobody that has more respect for women than I do.” Really Donald! He really thinks the Presidential election is a reality show.

Trump Says He Wants to Make America Great Again

Now this is when Trump’s rhetoric gets personal for me. I was born during the time that Donald Trump refers to as “Back when America was great.” He said of an African-American protester, “If that guy had done that back then, they would have carried him out on a stretcher.” Such talk is offensive to African-Americans. We saw a completely different side of Trump’s great America. It was a time when African-Americans were treated with no respect. We were not allowed in white restaurants. The only water fountains we were allowed to drink from were marked “colored”. We sat on the back of the bus if we sat at all.

Even back then, America was a great country. Donald Trump thinks that when America is respectful, we appear weak to the other nations. America is anything but weak because the majority of Americans believe there is strength in unity. Trump wants to divide America. He wants to make the poor poorer and the rich richer. America is already a great nation because we have devised ways of overcoming divides that people like Donald Trump create.

Let’s be honest about one thing. Donald Trump is only addressing a specific group of people with his “make America great again” rhetoric, and we know who they are. America is at its greatest when we stand together. United we stand, divided we fall. Which America would you prefer to live in, a divided America or a united America?

Trump on Trump

Donald Trump says he’s smart, and his description of being smart is quite disgusting. He claims he is smart because he avoided paying taxes for nearly two decades. That means Trump is a moocher. For nearly 20 years he contributed nothing in taxes to the country he claims to love. The Donald did not support our armed forces, our schools, our hospitals. He has contributed nothing to building roads and bridges, in fact, the Donald is known for tearing down roads that unite people and bridges that cross divides.

If Donald Trump is smart because he avoided paying his taxes, then that makes us stupid (in his eyes). Although he will never admit it, Trump is a troubled man; rich, but troubled. Donald sees only Donald. He cares only about those who care about him. Trump is in love with himself and in his eyes, he can do no wrong. Whenever he does wrong he never apologizes because he’s too proud. There is something wrong in Donald Trump’s head, and he would definitely be wrong for America.

The GOP Can’t Stop Trump But You Can

Once the GOP viewed Trump as their savior. They always knew his heart, but what they didn’t know is that he would expose their hearts as well. When the GOP had the chance to correct Trump, they said nothing. They wanted Trump to light the fire, but they didn’t know it would burn them.

As an American, I have confidence that we will not allow Donald Trump to turn us around. We cannot allow the Trump Campaign to turn us against one another. They want us to focus on the problem, but we must focus on the solution. Slavery was once a big problem for African Americas. As an African-American man, I can tell you that slavery only ended because as a nation, we focused on the solution.

We are once again facing a problem in America—Donald Trump. Let us not focus on the problem but on the solution. That is why you must exercise your right to vote. Do not be deceived people; a no vote is a yes vote. My parents told me that a person who does not stand for something will fall for anything. Don’t fall for Donald Trump’s reality show Presidency; let’s all stand together. VOTE!
